DESCRIPTION:23rd European Semantic Web Conference \n\n\n\nThe European Semantic Web Conference is a major venue for discussing the latest scientific results and technology innovations around semantic technologies and knowledge graphs. Building on its past success\, ESWC is seeking to broaden its focus to span other relevant related research areas in which web semantics plays an important role. \n\n\n\nThe goal of the Semantic Web is to create a Web of knowledge and services in which the semantics of content is made explicit and content is linked to both other content and services allowing novel applications to combine content from heterogeneous sites in unforeseen ways and support enhanced matching between users needs and content. Creating such an interlinked Web of knowledge which spans unstructured text\, structured data as well as multimedia content and services requires the collaboration of many disciplines\, including but not limited to: Artificial Intelligence\, Natural Language Processing\, Databases and Information Systems\, Information Retrieval\, Machine Learning\, Multimedia\, Distributed Systems\, Social Networks\, Web Engineering\, and Web Science. These complementarities are reflected in the outline of the technical program of the ESWC 2026. ESWC 2026 will present the latest results in research\, technologies and applications in its field. DESCRIPTION:Data Fjords: Unlocking AI for Industry & Society\n\n\n\nThe Data Week is the spring gathering of the Big Data and Data Driven AI research and innovation community in Europe. \n\n\n\nData Week 2026 will be a 2-day physical event taking place in Oslo\, Norway between 5-6 May. The event will be organised by the Big Data Value Association in collaboration with the following BDVA members: IFE (Institute for Energy technology)\, NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology)\, SINTEF\, Western Norway Research Institute and supported by The Research Council of Norway. \n\n\n\nThe theme of DW 2026 is “Data Fjords: Unlocking AI for Industry and Society”\, focusing on the fundamental elements of Data Value creation. Artificial intelligence (AI) serves as a pivotal tool in unlocking data value through various means. Creating value from data also requires viewing it from an ecosystem perspective and fostering collaboration among multiple stakeholders\, which lays the groundwork needed for research excellence\, that is required to be rapidly put into action for competitiveness and societal benefit.

DESCRIPTION:As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded in public services\, the question is no longer whether AI will be used\, but how it can be deployed responsibly. \n\n\n\nThe webinar “AI-Enabled Public Services: Building Resilience and Accountability” is the second webinar organized by the EU-funded projects TANGO\, AI4REALNET\, HumAIne\, THEMIS 5.0\, and Peer AI. The webinar\, which will host speakers from the organizing projects\, will be focused on the use of AI in public services\, as studied in the concrete application of the projects\, with a focus on the effort into building resilience and accountability about such use. The registration is open to everyone interested in the topic\, from the general audience to experts in the field such as researchers and policy makers.This session will explore how AI systems used in public-sector contexts can remain transparent\, accountable\, and resilient\, while still delivering meaningful improvements in efficiency and service delivery. DESCRIPTION:NLP4MusA 2026: 4th Workshop on NLP for Music and Audio\n\n\n\nCo-located with EACL 2026\, Rabat\, Morocco & Online \n\n\n\nBuilding on a tradition of cross-disciplinary impact\, the intersection of NLP with music and audio-based creative media presents a frontier full of unique challenges and exciting opportunities. The Fourth Workshop on Natural Language Processing for Music and Audio (NLP4MusA) aims to explore the multimodal synergies between language\, music\, and sound. As NLP increasingly enables domains where language and interaction converge\, the entertainment industry offers a particularly compelling case: most audio content – such as songs or podcasts – contains an inherent linguistic dimension\, while user engagement often occurs through language\, from search queries to social media conversations. \n\n\n\nRecent advances in language modelling and multimodal representation learning have deepened the connection between NLP and music\, giving rise to a new generation of applications. These range from music transcription and captioning to the generation of lyrics\, symbolic compositions\, and even complex audio signals from text-based prompts. At the same time\, techniques from Question Answering and Information Retrieval are transforming how people search for\, recommend\, and interact with music and audio. \n\n\n\nBecause language also reflects culture and multilingual diversity\, NLP-driven approaches open pathways for cross-cultural discovery and creativity – enriching the way we experience and understand music and sound.
